Including readings within your ceremony is a wonderful way of including friends and family. There is a wealth of poetry available but you don't have to restrict yourselves to a poem. A great source of inspiration is children's literature. One of my personal favourites is "Oh the places you'll go," by Dr Seuss. It is easy to read and the rhythm of the text helps to infuse excitement into the reading. Alternatively why not use the lyrics of a song. My top tip here would be to consider not repeating a chorus and only use the verses you feel are most apt. "If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you. When mountains crumble to the sea, There will still be you and me." Extract from "Thank you" by Led Zeppelin

AuthorChoosing a Celebrant to help you create that special ceremony is an important step towards making your occasion a really memorable one. Why not take advantage of the free initial meeting I offer ? I believe it is important to meet informally to discuss your ideas and what I can offer. Meeting also gives us an opportunity to explore the type of ceremony that would best suit your needs. Archives
