You can have whatever you want in your ceremony; after all, it is YOUR day. You can include music, readings, poems and meaningful actions such as lighting candles or exchanging gifts. Some couples ask about inclusion of religious content. The difference between an Independent Celebrant and a Humanist ceremony is that Humanist's do not include any religious content but as an Independent Celebrant I am happy to include this if you wish. Your day - your way.

You can ask for certain words, poems, and readings to be included, but often there are restraints on time and around what can be said. A Celebrant creates a unique ceremony every time and no two ceremonies are the same, just as no two couples are the same.
