The biggest question for many people including venues and Celebrants at the moment is how couples are adapting their wedding plans in response to COVID-19. In a recent survey undertake by Hitched it was found that of the 350 couples surveyed 87% were not planning to cancel, with the vast majority planning to reschedule or holding out hope they can keep their original summer dates, showing that, even in uncertain times, couples are determined to get married. The survey also found that one in four couples are moving their reception to a later date in 2020, but an even higher proportion (44%) are shifting to 2021. The decision whether to cancel or postpone will be specific to your own circumstances and there isn't a right or wrong way forward. However, for some couples who decide to complete the legal contractual vows in either a Church or Registry Office at this time, the option of arranging a Wedding celebration at a later date remains open. A wedding celebration is a great way to bring family and friends together to recognise your new status as a couple. If you would like more information about Wedding ceremonies please make contact. |
