Welcoming a new baby and introducing them to family and friends can be a wonderful occasion. If you do not wish to have a formal baptism then you may wish to consider a Celebrant led Naming ceremony.
A naming ceremony is suitable for a child of any age. During the ceremony you can make your promises to your child and other adults can pledge their support too. The ceremony can contain many different elements and each one is unique and specially written for the occasion. Tip 1: Don't be constrained by thinking that you have to have your ceremony in a church, registry office or licenced venue. Be creative.
Tip 2: Invest in a wedding planner book. There are lots of different types on the market to choose from. Being organised and keeping all those important numbers and information in one place saves time and stress. Tip 3: Good planning can make the day easier to manage. Delegate key tasks so that you are free to enjoy your day. Tip 4: Consider how you communicate with your guests. If you are thinking of a summer festival why not send out packs or have a large notice board. Tip 5: Add personal touches to your ceremony and get friends and family to contribute. |
