This week I conducted a wonderful commitment ceremony for a couple who six weeks ago were devastated by the news that one of their divorces would not be finalised in time for their big day.
Everything was booked, the venue was expecting them, the guests had their outfits, the bride had her dress and the rings were nestling in their boxes. Then the news came that the divorce proceedings were delayed. But this story has a happy ending. The wedding day went ahead as planned and instead of a marriage service I conducted a commitment ceremony. We were able to incorporate their story, music, poems and readings into the ceremony and the couple told me afterwards that had they known what a Celebrant led ceremony was like they would have planned one from the beginning. They now plan to have a small beach marriage later in the year to complete the legalities.

AuthorChoosing a Celebrant to help you create that special ceremony is an important step towards making your occasion a really memorable one. Why not take advantage of the free initial meeting I offer ? I believe it is important to meet informally to discuss your ideas and what I can offer. Meeting also gives us an opportunity to explore the type of ceremony that would best suit your needs. Archives
