Gin cocktails

Often couples like to add a symbolic action into their wedding or commitment ceremony.  Mixing liquids is quite popular but  why not at a twist ?

Mix your own cocktail !

Below are a couple of quick and easy cocktails to make and share.

Elderflower and Gin Sherbert

Ingredients

• 50 ml elderflower cordial
• 50 ml good-quality gin
• 1 handful ice
• 150 ml bitter lemon
• a few strips lemon zest

Mix the elderflower cordial and gin together in a small glass or cup. Put crushed ice into your serving  glass.  Pour over the gin mixture. Top with bitter lemon and a few strips of lemon zest. Enjoy.


French 75

Ingredients

• 2 ounces gin
• 1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
• 2 teaspoons sugar
• Champagne or sparkling wine
• Garnish: long thin lemon spiral and cocktail cherry

Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Shake gin, lemon juice, and sugar in a cocktail shaker until well chilled, about 15 seconds. Strain into a champagne flute.

​Top with Champagne. Stir gently, garnish with a long, thin lemon spiral and a cocktail cherry.
