What I offer
I offer a one-to-one coaching service to Celebrants who work with Couples and families.
I believe there are key principles which apply to all forms of ceremonies and my aim is to work with you so that you can discover what works best for you and enables you to provide a first-class service to your clients.
Every one of us has our own style and therefore appeal to a different area of the marketplace, so my support is given on an individual basis.
My background
After my retirement as a Head teacher, I retrained as a Civil Celebrant specialising in Weddings, Civil Partnerships, Commitment ceremonies, Renewal of Vows and Naming ceremonies. During my former career I was an accredited Coach for the National Professional Qualification’s scheme for teachers within Middle and Senior leadership roles.
Since then, I have developed a successful business as a Celebrant and have conducted a wide variety of ceremonies.
For the last five years I have also worked as a Tutor with a leading Celebrant training company.
Coaching v Mentoring.
Whilst coaching and mentoring are both valuable in professional development, they do have different purposes and are approached differently.
Mentoring is a long-term process involving skills development which starts with the Mentor sharing personal experience which can be used by the Mentee to reflect on their own practice.
Coaching is much more focused on shorter term goals and uses the client’s own strengths as a bases for future development.
How does coaching work?
Imagine this scenario

Other areas covered
Client planning meeting preparation
Constructing a ceremony
Delivery skills
Enhancing your ceremonies
Outdoor ceremonies
Future business planning
The process
I offer a short free consultation in which we can discuss your concerns and develop a plan.
My fee for a 90-minute face to face coaching session is £100. * Plus travel expenses.
