What is a naming ceremony ?

A naming ceremony is a non-religious way to welcome a child into the world officially.  To introduce their name, to make promises for the future and to gather family and friends who will be there to support them as they grow.

Whether you are welcoming a newborn, an older child, an adopted child or step child,  it is a joyful and meaningful event that can be as simple or elaborate as you want.

Unlike a christening or any other religous rites a naming is entirly personal and inclusive.
