What do you think of when you think of the "perfect wedding day" ? For every couple the answer to this question will be different so it is worth thinking about what are the key things for you. Other people love to be involved in the planning too but be careful that your own ideas don't get side-lined. Be clear about your vision and ask people to do specific tasks. Set a realistic budget and keep to it. To keep costs down if you don't need four new toasters you could ask people to contribute in other ways. It takes a little more organisation but maybe each guest could bring a starter, main or dessert to go onto a buffet table. Perhaps people might give their time by making table decorations, or decorating the room in which your event will take place. You can find lots of ideas on line. Perhaps someone you know could provide the transport. I once had a bride arrive on a tractor much to the delight of everyone, including her father who was driving. It can be fun planning your day, especially if other people are helping to. You will also have the satisfaction of knowing that you won't be facing a large bill after your day.
