During the first in-depth conversation you can discuss the elements you would like in your ceremony. Remember - your ceremony, your way. Micro weddings are weddings with less than 20 guests. A Micro wedding offers a more intimate ceremony as everyone who wishes can be involved. A Celebrant led ceremony can be held anywhere at any time so they are ideal for Micro weddings . Law School, called for changes to regulations around civil wedding ceremonies. She conducted research into a number of areas related to civil weddings - including the "two plus two" ceremonies. Her findings concerning these ceremonies, which were recently published in the Law Society Gazette, reveals that there are currently insufficient times available for the number of couples who wish to have the basic ceremony. The full article can be found on the O.U. website in Research news. Many couples are postponing their weddings until 2021 due to Coronavirus lockdown. I have been considering what impact this will have on the type of weddings we will see next year. I think we may see an increase at both ends of the wedding scale – the Micro wedding and the Extravagant Wedding. For some lockdown and re-connection with others may guide them towards a Micro Wedding. A Micro Wedding is defined as being a Wedding with no more than 20 people in attendance. Others may want to go all out increasing the scale of everything, - guests, entertainment, flowers, dress and venue. It is possible that the content of ceremonies will also change with more demand for reflection during ceremonies, opportunities to say thanks for those who gave support in difficult times and more personal content. Perhaps we will also see an increase in use of the choice of more local services and products and ceremonies conducted in outdoor areas. Choosing a Celebrant led ceremony will offer the scope to do all of this and now is the time to consider what your special day will mean to you. |
